Imagine

we accept and value the worth and

We'd
like to live in a world where diversity may be celebrated
rather than to see our differences become a reason to hate one
another.
We'd
like to see an easing of world tension and a relaxation and
cessation of conflict
between all people, all governments, all countries, and
the use of peaceful means by which problems and misunderstandings
resulting from
prejudicial preconceptions and uninformed judgements,
may be resolved.
It
is our belief that issues arising from differences should be
settled peacefully and
in a healthy atmosphere where all views can be freely expressed
without fear of
hatred or retaliation.
We
believe that diminishing anybody in a society
diminishes society as a whole. We believe in respecting all
differences
which would include but not be limited to race, ethnicity, country,
culture, creed,
religion, origin, politics, age, appearance, gender, lifestyle,
background, occupation,
social status, sexual orientation, body configuration and mental
or physical ability.
We'd
like to see an end to all forms of stereotyping and discrimination,
hatred and oppression, violence and terrorism, and an end to
all acts of war
without exception and no matter how enobling their purported
intent, for whether
committed by individuals, groups or governments, these actions
cannot be justified.
We
believe that by fostering and promoting a more positive way
to behave towards
each other, we can create a more civilized and happier, friendlier
and safer planet for
all of us.
It
is our hope to inspire acts of understanding and wisdom
over weapons of destruction and acts of aggression.
It
is our dream to replace intolerance and hatred, ignorance and
unkindness,
with love and friendship, détente and accord.
So
let us begin by making a truce and let us pledge to make it
last.
Let us commit to start today, in our own lives and in everything
we do,
to teach and enlighten, to bring our world one step closer
to peace and harmony.
